Position Overview
Excellent opportunity exists for an accomplished tax and estate planning professional to join the firm’s Toronto office. The role requires a high level of technical proficiency, strategic judgement, and a passion for guiding clients through complex financial decisions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with portfolio managers and senior leadership to further enhance the firm’s wealth planning capabilities and support the delivery of sophisticated, customized solutions to affluent families.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced wealth planning strategies, including tax optimization, estate planning, and succession planning.
- Conduct comprehensive client reviews to ensure tax and estate planning strategies are appropriately implemented and aligned with client objectives.
- Work collaboratively with clients’ external legal and accounting advisors to execute integrated planning solutions.
- Develop and deliver educational initiatives focused on next-generation wealth stewardship.
- Provide thought leadership in areas such as family office services and cross-border planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wealth planning and tax strategy for high-net-worth clients.
- Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent designation.
- CFP or TEP designation is considered an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted professional relationships.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and/or tax preparation software.
