Our client is expanding and is in search of a Senior Dealing Representative (thoughts on the title?)
The Role:
This person will be responsible for crafting and executing the investor growth strategy, acquiring new private client investors, fundraising, and developing and evaluating private investment opportunities.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification and cultivation of new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the private capital markets landscape, strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of success in capital raising within the private capital markets.
The Day to Day:
We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial minded individual to lead sales/business development activities as a Senior Dealing Representative). In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for capital raising and sales promoting company funds to private investors.
- Collaborate closely with management teams to strategize and implement growth initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance alongside their internal Investment Management team on new investment opportunities.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities in the private capital markets industry
- Develop and execute targeted strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential business opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for prospective clients
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to showcase their products and services
- Negotiate and close deals to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insight and recommendations to help them achieve their business goals
- Assist clients in selecting suitable investments, conducting comprehensive Know Your Client (KYC) assessments.
- Oversee the review of investor KYC and suitability leveraging automated tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries in relation to account details, investments, transactions, and addressing any concerns or complaints.
What We’re Looking for in a Candidate
- 5-8 years of demonstrated leadership experience in sales/business development within the investment industry, with a preference for experience within private investment platforms.
- Experienced managing a fund or willingness to learn
- Proven experience in fundraising and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients, private investors, industry partners and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (or Google Suite equivalent).
- Strong comprehension of financial markets and exposure to hospitality and wellness investments an asset.
- Excellent communication verbal and written, strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in analyzing data from Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRMs).
- Innovative thinker capable of extracting growth-oriented insights from client and industry data.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business & Computer Science, or a related field.
REQUIRED: Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Exempt Market Proficiency (EMP) Course
