Job Overview/Purpose:
The main task and responsibility of the Analyst is to support the other front office staff and credit analysts with a view to improve the productivity in the team. More specifically the Analyst will work closely with the Relationship Managers and the Credit Analysts on the preparation of client meetings and pitches, financial modelling, producing credit applications and other approval documents, portfolio monitoring and on managing data entry into the CRM system (e.g., pipeline management, call report production, etc.).
From the Analyst’s perspective the role allows him/her, amongst others, to:
❖ Develop an understanding of the objectives of WCI and the responsibilities of relationship managers and credit analysts
❖ Develop a basic understanding of the industry dynamics in the F&A sectors
❖ Gain initial experience in the different phases of the transaction lifecycle (origination, structuring, execution and monitoring)
❖ Develop an understanding of the various lending products offered by WCI and a basic understanding of other (lending) products and services offered by the institution
❖ Develop basic credit risk analysis knowledge and skills
❖ KYC: Front Office KYC responsibilities for Wholesale clients including onboarding of new clients/Borrowers, Event-Driven Reviews and Periodic Reviews, liaising with RMs, Compliance, COBS and QA to initiate and complete cases
❖ Document Summary Sheet: complete deal summary sheets for key closed transactions
❖ Facility Report: maintain monthly report with facility & income data for distribution to Coverage Team.
❖ Portfolio Review: prepare all material for annual review of Wholesale clients and coordinate meeting with Coverage Team, product groups and senior management; and DealPoint:
❖ Act as champion for DealPoint, the system used to route requests for Commercial Approval and for calculating Credit Approval lanes.
